is what amy did selfish?

i just finished watching the “secret life of the american teenager” and i hated the ending. basically a girl named amy had a baby at 15 and kept it because she wanted to be a mom. when she was 18 she moved in with the baby daddy who was 19 and they got engaged. she got into a really good school halfway across the country. he gave her several opportunities to break the engagement but she kept saying she wanted to get married and have a family there. the night before their wedding she said she no longer wanted to get married and wanted to go to school half way across the country to live out her dream of going to her dream school as a normal college kid and get a break from being a mom. she left her now ex fiancé and baby behind and goes to summer school so she doesn’t have to go home to them.

the ending was rushed and stuff but is what she did selfish or did she deserve to live out her dream?
