Social Distanced Playdate across the driveway?

We have been completely quarantined since all of this started. My husband is the only one who goes out once a week to get groceries, and he wears a mask, then comes home, puts clothes in the washing machine, and washes his hands. We've been taking this very seriously as we have three small kids, a 5 year old, 2 year old with asthma, and our newborn who's immune system is developing.

Our 5 year old misses his best friend terribly, and we've decided soccer (something he loves dearly) is probably going to have to wait another year. He's so sad. Do you think it would be safe for his best friend to come over, and have an outdoor playdate with each of them on opposite sides of the driveway (10 ft.), and kick the soccer ball back and forth? I just feel so bad for him, he's been such a trooper through all of this, and finding out soccer is canceled just about broke him today.
