Paragard IUD

So about 2 weeks ago I got the paragard iud put in and I started my period 4 days ago. Im bleeding more than normal and my cramps are from the pits of hell. I also noticed there's not as much 'clumpy' uterine lining this time around than i normally have. The cramps are not constant so I don't rhink the iud has moved or anything but I just wanted to know you ladies' experiences with this particular iud and if what I'm going through is normal and will it balance itself out in the next few cycles?
