My C section scar has been hurting. Is that normal?

I notice if I have underwear or leggings or anything that sits on it, it will start hurting and then it’ll hurt every time you touch it too. It’s kinda like a stinging pain and it’s really just on the right side of my scar.

Are you all doing scar massage to make sure you don’t develop scar tissue?

Yup. Definitely had that this last week. I went back to postpartum undies for a day just to give my scar a break. I still have quite the mom pooch so my underwear rolls down into my scar area. Changing things up for a day definitely helped. But I would agree with the other poster, it’s all a part of the healing process. There is a lot of layers in there that have to repair.

Yup me too. I think the stinging is the nerves growing and getting a bit of feeling back. I have quite a bit of numbness above my scar in one patch and it has been itching and stinging a lot lately. Like you, I have to be careful underwear doesn’t press on it otherwise it can feel a bit sore.
