what is the difference ?!

between a mucus plug and your bloody show ? besides the obvious blood involved. 
what if you loose your mucus plug with no bloody show ?
or bloody show and then continue to loose mucus plug ?
what exactly is the difference

Bloody show is usually a sign that you’re dilating. That’s what I was told. It was my first pregnancy at 37 weeks and noticed I was bleeding a bit. Had some discharge but not a lot so I was scared. I went in and they said it’s normal to bleed as you dilate, as long as it wasnt running down my legs or filling up a whole pad . Sure enough I was already 5-6 cm dilated and had my daughter 3 hours later. 
My second pregnancy I lost my mucus plug but didnt have any blood. It was kind of tinged with brown but barely. And it was like a full mucus plug, like golf ball sized. I had my son two days later
