I was filling out the FAFSA for my mans and One of the questions was “Do you now have or will you have children who receive more than half of their support from you between July 1st, 2020 and June 30, 2021?” And a simple YES to that question qualified him as an independent student which means his parents info won’t disqualify him from a grant! SO I WENT BACK AND CHANGED MINE because my parents have always made WAY too much money and I’M NOW AN INDEPENDENT STUDENT ON THE FAFSA TOO! Seriously hoping we both qualify for pell grants!
