My boyfriend and I have gotten into arguments regarding what we should be responsible for. He says as a woman I should want to keep things clean. He gets mad if I leave dishes in the sink or don't make the bed or don't put his clothes up. Mind you we don't live together. We've been together for 5 years but still have separate places. He expects my place to be clean when he comes over and if it's not then he puts me down about it. But if his place is not all the way clean he expects me to get there and clean and that I should want to because I'm the woman.

What confuses me is what am I supposed to expect from him "as a man". I just don't think like that. Mind you we both work so I don't depend on him financially. He will very occasionally wash my car or little tasks but nothing consistent. But if he has expectations of me what am I supposed to be expecting of him? I'm just confused.
