My boyfriend broke the lease to our apartment about a week ago, with two weeks notice that means we are tenants in the apartment until the 13th of July.

Today, after my boyfriend had just got out of the shower the landlord started knocking at the door. My boyfriend didn’t open as he was half naked, so the landlord decides he will unlock the door himself and not only give himself access to our apartment but other people who are looking to rent the property after we leave.

The landlord gave us absolutely NO notice about him coming himself, let alone bringing people to view the apartment. We feel like this is such an invasion of privacy, our place is a mess as we are packing and have boxes everywhere and we didn’t even open the door for the landlord, he just let himself in.

What if my boyfriend hadn’t been home and he just let himself and other people in with all of our belongings in the apartment??

Does anyone know if there is anything we can do about this? I’m really unhappy.
