How soon until sex?

I started taking my pill this morning and had sex this evening, was this a bad idea? I'm on the microgynon pill, and so is a friend of mine who says she has taken this risk in the past and it was absolutely fine for her. Just wondering what you guys think :)

Unless today is the first day of your period, you are nto protected. Why would you listen to your friend instead of reading your pamphlet or asking a mesical proffesional? And why ask this question AFTER you already had sex? If you didnt take it the first day of your period then you need plan b.

You should wait seven days unless you started taking it on got first day of your period. If you took it in the first day of your period you're protected from the start. You should really read the leaflet or listen to your doctor. That was careless of you

It's pretty risky. It's probably like doing it without the pill at all but I'm not sure. I'm on Mono Linya or something like that, the pharmacist said it takes 3-4 days at the least to come in effect.  But that's for mine all birth controls are different in some sort of way and everyone's body is different too..
