In need of surgery and Insurance won't cover.
I was "informally" diagnosed with endo 8 yrs ago. One of my fallopian tubes was completely blocked and the other "appeared" to be. My previous Dr had repeatedly said that I needed surgery but always found a reason to differ it. Finally got a new Dr willing to do an exploratory lap to officially diagnose but my insurance won't cover it, because its considered a fertility treatment which my insurance won't cover. My Dr has spoken with them and explained its not for fertility but for diagnosis and pain management but its still a no go. I don't know what to do. My husband makes too much money for any sort of help but not enough that we can actually afford it. Aside from gofundme etc what are some ways you ladies have been able to afford this surgery? I've used birth control to stop my periods to allow the adhesions to heal but as it turns out I'm allergic and they are unwilling to put me on another because they are unsure of what I reacted to and most birth controls are made up of the same thing. So I currently have nothing in the way of pain management or managing my super heavy periods, and im desperate for some, even if temporary, relief this surgery may provide.
