Abnormal Pap smear while pregnant?

Anyone ever get an abnormal Pap smear while pregnant? They gave me an exam during my 8 week appointment and the results came back abnormal. Haven’t heard from the dr office yet but an appointment coming soon.

Yes. I actually had my yearly exam 1 week before our positive with our 1st in July 2014. I needed a colposcopy and based off of my results my doctor continued to monitor throughout our pregnancy. When you give birth you shed your cervical cells so my doctor felt confident all would be ok. My 6 week post partum appointment got moved out to 10 weeks. I had another abnormal result and another colposcopy. My brand new and shiny cervical cells came back at CIN 3 which is 1 stage before cervical cancer. I was scheduled in less than a week later in August 2015 for a LEEP and CONE procedure to prevent further growth and development and possible spreading of the bad cells. My doctor removed 25% of my cervix that day. My doctor tested me a month later and I got normal results. 3 months later normal results. 3 months later normal results. I was told we needed to wait at least 1 year after the procedure and have all normal teat results before getting pregnant again or trying. Well a week after our 3 set of normal results I got a blazing positive pregnancy test. Heavy unexplained bleeding between 5-20 weeks of pregnancy but our 2nd son was born full term and healthy in Nov 2016 just 15 months after my leep and cone. I have had normal results every year now. We had our 3rd son full term and healthy Sep 2018 and we are pregnant with our 4th due Nov this year.

An abnormal pap smear may not be anything to be concerned about. Could be something as simple as bacterial vaginosis

I did when I was pregnant with my daughter I had it redone 1 yr later and it came back normal
