When to offer other boob?

I’m sure this is a super dumb question but how and when do I know to offer the other boob?
Is it like a certain amount of time?

Here's how I do it:
Put baby on boob.
When baby undoes the latch on her own, pick baby up for burping.
After burping, offer the other boob.
Rinse and repeat as long as baby is happy to latch on 😉
In case of a big burp, baby is happy to nurse on both sides for somewhat longer. Otherwise, she barely nurses on the second side, and she barely ever latches on for a third or fourth time...
My first rather quickly started to nurse only one side per session, but at very fussy times she would go for many happy repeats of this routine.
