When is it acceptable (in your opinion) to leave your baby over night ?

My baby is 5 months old. We sleep in the same bed. I can’t imagine leaving her yet :( but also she’s teething and I’m exhausted. Wish I could spend a night alone with my husband sometimes but I would miss her so much . We’ve had so many offers from our parents to keep her overnight and I always Say no.

Whenever you feel ready. My son was 6 months and it was hard to leave but once we did it was soooo nice having time with my husband. Nurturing your relationship with your SO is very important and often put to the side when a baby is involved, but to me my marriage is more important. Do what you are comfortable with and dont worry about what anyone else thinks. 💗

Whenever you feel comfortable with it. My daughter is 2 and I've not left her anywhere overnight yet. Plenty of offers from grandparents (MIL, my mom, my dad and step mom.) I trust all these people with my life and with my daughter's life. But mama isn't ready for the overnights just yet.

My first was three weeks old. I needed a break and suffered from ppd. My second was six weeks to my moms house because I had to work over night.

When you feel ready. I left my son overnight when he turned one and no longer having bottles in the middle of the night. But for the first few times it was just at my parents house and I’d put him to bed there, then when he was asleep we’d leave and then pick him up in the morning.

I went back to work when my daughter was 6 weeks old. She has stayed over at her grandma’s overnight MULTIPLE times since then. Like too many to count. I rotate shifts day/night so I didn’t really have a choice because sometimes both my boyfriend and I were not home so, to grandma’s she went!! It’s all about when you feel comfortable!!!

I’ve never done it and my baby is 15 months but whenever you’re comfortable with it then it’s acceptable!

It totally depends on how and when do you feel comfortable about doing it....I am a doctor and was doing my residency when my son was born...I had to leave him with my mother all the time because of my hospital’s duty schedules....He was just  3 months old...

I haven’t yet and my daughter is 19m.
She sleeps in her own room (since 5m) and I sleep wonderfully!
