Hospital bag needs ?

I know it’ll be a while until I’m due (2 months) well hopefully 😀 but with my first labor happen so quickly I didn’t have the bag ready for me or baby! What are items you MUST HAVE in your hospital bag?

Not gonna lie, this is VERY based on what your hospital provides. I suggest asking your local hospital if they have a paper with recommended items to bring.
Other than that, some women like to have headphones and speakers for music, definitely bring snacks if you prefer. Im planning on bringing wearing some Depends after I give birth, for comfort reasons VS the mesh panties they may hand out.
It also depends on in and out privileges your spouse will have. Can he go get food? A shower if your labor takes a while? Are there kids he'll need to check on?
He will likely sleep and eat and hang out with you, and ive heard of so many couples bringing a laptop to spend the time away and then they never use it so be cautious with certain things.
Definitelt suggest the Reddit subreddit /r/BabyBumps. The women on there share their experiences and packing lists. They'll probably also tell you it varies per hospital as well 😊

I have a list, but my “must have” items were my own blanket and pillow. Make sure you have a brightly colored pillow case so you won’t get it confused with the hospitals! I had a hard delivery and having some comfort items helped me feel more like myself afterwards. I could also say the same thing for my own soap, shampoo and conditioner, and make up. Those things all helped me feel a little more like myself and feel a little better... just going through my daily routine the next morning made feel “normal” lol

I only packed my outfit to go home, outfit for baby to go home, my hair brush and my husbands toothbrush and mine of course.  And that’s all we needed. Took phone and tablet chargers with us day of.

Find out what your hospital provides first. That will determine a lot. I have my hospital gown (I hate the hospital ones and feel uncomfortable with the big split in the back), two robes, nursing tanks, slippers, socks, toiletries, a few extra pairs of loose fitting pants, Maternity leggings and a t shirt to wear home, back scratcher, chapstick, hair ties, makeup, baby book, door decoration, and a few pairs of underwear. I lived in a nursing tank, pj pants and a robe. Highly recommend this.
