So I had my first ultrasound today and it was done vaginally. Baby measured at 5 weeks 6 days, heart beat 171 bpm but they found blood between the uterine wall and gestational sac. They prescribed me 200mg of progesterone suppositories since I miscarried last October. Tonight will be my first dose. I didn’t feel worried when I noticed a tinge of old blood last night but became extremely nervous over finding out that my body could end up miscarrying again. Since my appt, I have felt a little crampy and now very light pink tinge with way more old blood comes out when I wipe. Has anyone experienced feeling crampy after a vaginal ultrasound? Also, what were your side effects like with progesterone? Was it successful in helping carry a full term baby? My doctor mentioned I might bleed with the progesterone... great. What amount of blood would be enough that is considered normal vs being alarmed and calling doctor? Should be getting my results about my progesterone level’s soon and scheduling another appt within next few days. Wish me luck ladies!! Really trying to stay positive, just disappointed in my visit today only bc I didn’t want to hear any of that but it is what it is.
