We have been really good about masking ourselves and socially distancing unless necessary. My MIL watches my son 1-2 times a week while I am at work. My husband’s cousin is having a baby. They are planning to fly here (they live down south) and we are in New England and they are planning to have a baby shower at a restaurant event space. We have decided to probably will not go (between the crowd, the event space, and then flying fro mount of state, and obviously will not be masked if eating while there- just not worth the risk of COVID exposure for my 6 month old). But we can’t really ask my MIL not to go to it if she wants to. Am I over reacting by trying to get time off of work so that she can stay away from my son for 14 days after exposing herself?
