I work at 5 am. Yesterday we had a bad storm and a lot of people’s power went out (I live in Michigan) including mine but it came back on. I drove all the way to work and my work is in a store complex across from Walmart and there’s another one with a bunch of stores and even a McDonald’s and taco bell and an Applebee’s. All of it was pitch black except for a McDonald’s. I pull into the parking lot and no one is there. Mind you I don’t open so I have no keys to get in. My coworkers who open weren’t there. I waited for a minute and walked up to the door and a sign said “sorry no power :(“. So I drove home with anxiety thwt if they decide to go to work I’ll get fired for not showing up. But they never called me or anything to let me know we didn’t have work. So I hope they at least call me if I have to come in later.

I’m just glad i can go back to sleep lol
