Anterior placenta

megabrooke
I was told the other day by my OB that I have an anterior placenta. No harm to me or baby, only drawback is that I may not be able to easily feel movement as much at first. This is my first baby, so I'm not sure I'll know what I'm missing!, but I do hope I'll still be able to feel him or her once it gets further on! (Only 14 weeks now, so wouldn't expect to feel anything yet!)
Anyone else have this?

Yes, I have a stupid anterior placenta! I am now 27 weeks and I feel the baby moving a lot. I started really feel her at 24ish weeks and now it is like crazy movements all the time! So don't worry you will feel the baby move eventually!

Yes and it only took a little longer to feel baby kicking...didn't feel like I was missing out though. She's more than making up for it now.

I started feeling real kicks around 19 weeks. This is my 4th baby. I feel them super low by my pubic line or super high by my ribs. I'm 22 weeks now and you can just barely feel them from the outside if you press firmly below my belly.

I have it as well and I started feeling the little bubbly movement around 16 weeks and now I'm feeling full blown kicks at 20. Started a while ago. Nurse kept telling me I wouldn't feel anything for a long while and I'm like uh.. I have been feeling kicks? Lol. Sometimes they hurts and Idk if that's because I'm dehydrated that day or if it's because he's hitting the placenta

Don't worry mommy. I have the same problem. I started feeling my little man around 20-21 weeks. Now I am 36 weeks & he is quite active. Lol I feel kicks all in my ribs & side. Just be patient. Once you get further along you will be able to feel little hiccups & everything. Lol :)

You won't be missing anything! It'll just take a little longer for you to feel the kicks. I have it and I didn't feel even a flutter until 19 weeks. Now I'm 24 weeks and can see her kicking through my stomach! So wild!! Congrats on the baby!

Same here but it's not as bad as it sounds. I started feeling my baby at 11 weeks but just a few flutter feeling here and there at first. Now at 28 weeks, she kept me up last night from 3-6 parting inside :)
