Is it ok to eat ceviche ?

My mother in law made shrimp ceviche but im not sure if its safe to eat help

I have eaten it several times in my pregnancy and all is good. They say to stay away from high Mercury fish. As in tuna, swordfish etc. there is a whole list online. Shrimp isn't one of them.

Usually ceviche uses raw seafood/fish in an acidic sauce/dressing in which the seafood "cooks" in a way because the acidity "burns" the seafood. Technically it is raw, so I would say no, of the shrimp was precooked go ahead. I would ask your ob if the fish/shrimp was raw before the ceviche was made.
