You should definitely charge deposits, because only the serious people are gonna pay the deposit which means they’ll show up. Don’t let people waste your time. Put that charge back on there now!!!

I'd charge deposits again but maybe have a slightly more gracious cancellation policy. 
For starters if anyone is feeling sick or had covid exposure you should give back their deposit because you don't want people deciding to suck it up and possibly expose you. 
Also maybe consider if there are other reasons you'd be willing to return the deposit for a no show, like if their job status changed due to Covid or their childcare fell through.
