Thoughts on baby in own room?

Question

Have you guys switched your babes to their own room yet? I'm thinking baby girl is ready. I'm a big toss and turner at night, and I notice when I move and the bed creaks, she starts tossing and wiggling too. She sleeps through the night, and I check on her before I go to bed, but she sleeps 8:30-7 am straight through. I'm just tired of my partner hanging out downstairs most nights bc he needs the tv on to sleep, and our daughter doesn't like the noise when she sleeps. We are considering buying a black out curtain and a fan for white noise and putting her in her own room. I guess I'm looking for reassurance. I think it would save all of us, plus obviously I'd use baby monitors.

Mine has been in her own room since 2 months. She was a loud sleeper and my husband was getting up at 4:30am for work and waking her up. Our dogs are also super loud. Honestly if I knew how great it would have been I would have moved her earlier.

Slowly starting the transition. He’s in his own room for a few hours before I bring him back to my room. I’m too lazy to walk to his room for feeds. Plus the risk for SIDS doesn’t decrease until after 6 months. My husband’s ready to move him out but he’s my last baby and I’m not ready yet. 😭

We put our daughter in her room at 4 months. She moves around a lot and makes a lot of noise. I wake up frequently in the middle of the night so we were both messing with each other I think. It was rough for the first few nights, but I think she was still going through the sleep regression at that point. I think we all sleep a little better now that she’s in her own room. We use a baby monitor too.

I started to switch my son to his room at about 2 and a half months. he slept in there for about a month before I had to move him back into our room, and that was only because the air conditioning in there isn’t working at the moment 😅

We put my first in his room at five months. Just be aware there is a 4 month sleep regression and baby might start waking periodically through the night

We put her in her room at 3 months.  My daughter sleeps 12 hours through the night as well. She naps in her room as well.

Im sure its fine if you think they are ready. Plenty of parents start very early. Personally I dont want to until maybe 6 months because hes a roller and Im just paranoid. I caught him on his stomach one night face down and he didnt even make any noise but he was struggling so that freaked me out, also he hates to be swaddled so I like to make sure hes nice and warm at night because he usually kicks off any blankets. The basinet that we have is pretty large and can hold up to 40lbs so I want to keep him in there next to our bed as long as I could.

I thinks a good idea. Especially if she’s sleeping through the night. We brought our daughters crib into the room so she sleep in it everyday but because she still wakes up through the night about twice we haven’t switch her into her room yet. But since she’s use to her crib , I’m sure the process will be easier

Yes he was in his own room at 3 months and everyone including him sleeps much better! Nothing to worry about as long as you lay him on his back with nothing else in the crib, he’s very safe
