Pain after sex

I’m currently 30 weeks and 4 days, yesterday my hubby & I had sex and I had a bit of spotting and some discomfort/pain immediately after. The spotting subsided pretty quickly after but the discover and pain remained. I was in contact with my midwife throughout the afternoon and ended up in labor and delivery at our local hospital. They did a non stress test, baby looked perfect and I had 1 small contraction. They looked at my urethra/vagina and didn’t find anything out of the ordinary so I was sent home. I’m still having some discomfort along with a bit of menstrual like cramping. Has this ever happened to any of you? What do you all recommend?
