Speech delayed

First off I want to say I am not shaming anyone with a child with autism I have a half brother who is autistic

Anyone else have a late talker? My son is 15 months old and barley says mama and dada and just babbles a lot. He barley responds to his name. He will sometimes if nothing at all is going on. But when I pick him up from daycare I say his name like 10 plus times he never looks he has to see me. The daycare also says he doesn’t come inside when they tell the other kids to he continues playing like he heard nothing. He barley points. He’s very happy smile laugh all the time. Likes to cuddle. Play with toys. Will smile at strangers... I googled it and autism came up as one of the main symptoms not responding to their name. I don’t want to jump to conclusions. But he has had a lot of ear infections and they said next time he had one he will be referred to ENT. Maybe he just can’t hear that well? And it’s fluid in his ears?? But I know for a fact he can hear because he will run into the room if we turn one of his fave shows on. I know all babies develop at their own pace but has anyone had this problem before?

—— Went to the doctor today she didn’t see any signs have another ear infection but she couldn’t tell if there was a lot of fluid she referred to audiology to check his hearing and so they could see if there was fluid also referred to speech therapy
