Can you do IVF with only sub q injections?

I know this might sound like a silly question, but IVF is our next and final step and honestly the idea of having to do IM injections is one of the main things deterring me from pursuing IVF. I can handle the sub q injections just fine, but the IM ones have me super freaked out. I’ve tried researching to see what medications are part of an IVF protocol but haven’t had a ton of luck figuring out whether or not it’s possible to do an IVF cycle with only sub q injections. Has anyone ever done that before? Or heard of that?

In NZ we don't do IM. Progesterone supplementation is via vaginal pessaries, and all other shots are subcutaneous. I'd say it's totally possible, just talk to your clinic.

You could ask for progesterone suppositories instead of the IM shots

I’m in Australia and it’s less common here to do the IM injections. My meds for all my cycles/protocols were subcutaneous.

My trigger was IM and so were my progesterone shots. But there are other avenues for progesterone. All the other injections were sub q.

All of my stims and trigger shots are subcutaneous. The only thing i have to do im is the progesterone in oil. Which I am not looking forward to. But I've def heard of drs giving progesterone in other formats.

I also didn’t want anything to do with IM shots. Luckily my clinic doesn’t do them for progesterone. All of my stims and fet prep for sub q and were a breeze! Good luck!
