I’m not sure if this is the right group but I need some advice! So my sons father and I don’t live together and my baby boy is turning one on aug 3rd so we agreed to do two separate parties because my family and my bd don’t get along 🙄 I originally wanted to do the party the day before his bday and then have his dad do his party whenever he wanted to after or before that day but now he’s saying hes gonna do the party the same day of my party bc it’s the only day some family members can come down and take the day off work etc and it’s the same with my family as well, so I suggested I’ll do my party first in the early afternoon then afterwards he can do his party and then my son can sleep over so we can do a family day or whatever on his actual birthday,.. well now my sons dad is saying I can’t do my party or even think about celebrating with my family until he does his party first.. because the fact we are celebrating it first without his dad isn’t okay.. even tho I suggested something that could work for everyone... So ladies am I overreacting about being upset about this?? What should I do?
