Anyone was told to give infant vitamin d drops if baby is exclusively breast fed ?

Yes, not enough passes through breastmilk. I believe it is 400 iui per day. I got the kind that is just one drop, you can put it on a finger or nipple or I find it easiest to just drop it directly into his mouth.

Babies should be getting vitamin D drops regardless of how they’re fed: both breast fed and formula fed. It’s a newer recommendation within the last couple of years.

I gave my son the drops when he was breastfed. And with my daughter I give her multi vit drops that has vit d in it.

Yes but I stopped giving it to my daughter bc it was causing her bad gas. She’s 18 months and is perfectly healthy. They sent a prescription for it at the pediatricians office. I would recommend getting it from a store though and getting zarbees or mothers bliss bc it’s natural. The one that the pharmacy has is full of added junk like Carmel color
