Solids? Whose starting them soon

My pediatrician says we can start rice cereal at 4 months when he had his 2 month apt.. however im seeing all of the w.h.o. information and wondering.
Either way the highchair is teady and im excited

I’m gonna start at 4 months. My little guy has been interested in food for like a month now. Every time he sees me eating he gets mad and tries to grab for it then screams because I won’t share 🤣🤣.

I feel like my almost 4 month old(mid August) is too young. She doesn’t sit up yet and her swallow isn’t very strong yet when I put medicine in her mouth..., it takes a couple swallows to clear. I may wait a bit until I am more comfortable she is capable. I know they like to have the iron from fortified cereals but I think it ok until 6 months if needed.

I'm waiting until 6-7 months (as recommended by my daughter's pediatrician) but only because she was born premature. She did say that normally between 4 and 6 months, you just read them and see if they look interested in solid food. Like have your baby sitting at the dinner table with you. When they show signs of readiness, you can try.

Waiting to hear from my ped at her 4 month but, based on the signs she’s giving me (sits in high chair, interested in food, brings objects to mouth, etc) I think we’ll be starting her sooner than later!

I already started giving him 2 teaspoons of rice cereal in his bedtime bottle to help him stay full all night. He’s 3.5 months. His pediatrician said that I could give him a little back when he was 2 months but I was like mmmm no. She said it could help with acid reflux I think. But I just started using it a tiny bit to thicken his milk. He’s perfectly fine. My mom said she used to give me rice cereal too

We started at 4 months because she was eating 7-8oz per SITTING. I find feeding solids and cereal is so helpful for keeping her happy and full and me sane

Our pediatrician said the same to us at 2 months, based on his general size and steady weight gain. He’s also been showing interest in food. His 4 month checkup is in a couple days, and we’ll see if we get the okay on solids.
I’ve read the WHO’s recommendation that babies exclusively breastfeed for the first 6 months, and I feel conflicted. I’ve also read that if solids are started at 4 months and the baby has digestive upset to just try again in 3 weeks.

I'm only waiting till my dr says. We have an appt on Wednesday and I just have a few questions. We have had trouble with formula. But once I get the clear boy is eating! Hes 4 months today
