So my baby will be a year old this month. I wanted to name him something completely different but his father convinced me to know him Nasir after him (so he is a jr). I wanted to name him Noah but he made a super huge deal out of it.

His father was there the day he was born and stayed around for maybe three days after, then up and left.

We went to court for child support in January and that is the last time I have seen or heard from him. He has not paid a penny nor has he tried to see him. His mother was coming around but got so mad about the child support that she hasn’t seen him or talked to me since December.

I really want to just legally change his first and last name but I’m received a mix of opinions and I’m not sure what to do. Should I just leave him a jr? What would you guys do?

** I’ll also add that we are doing an outdoor party for his birthday and I sent some of his family members invites on FB and they all said they can’t come. So I have tried to do my best for them to be in his life
