Labor Dress

Question

Hi Mamas ! 
    So, I'm still in my FT with my baby and it's been 7 years since I've given birth but keep on seeing ads for Labor Dresses ... 
Is this something people would recommend? I guess even for after the baby ? I think I just lived in a robe and maybe sweats during and after labor ... but honestly I don't even remember lol.

I labored and gave birth in the hospitals gown because I honestly didn’t care and it served the purpose and I was so HOT. But I brought this Gown for afterward in PP and loved it. My hospital didn’t mind me wearing it either because it unclasps in all the normal places for IV’s and monitors, plus super nursing friendly. I got it in a cute blue floral pattern. I washed it when I got home and wore it again for a little while.

I stay in hospital gowns. I find it easiest and I think it’s super easy to nurse in and do skin to skin because you just unsnap the shoulders and then can lift the front back up to cover baby like a blanket. We moved to the NICU yesterday and I find it’s harder to do as much skin time in my own clothes.

I labored and delivered in the hospital gown, but brought two of these and wore them in the postpartum recovery room and when we first came home with our baby.  It was nice to not feel so exposed in a hospital gown while I was recovering, and the buttons made it super easy to nurse when I needed to and cover up when I wanted to.  I still sleep in them even though I’m pumping instead of nursing now, because they’re so comfortable!
