Normal after 15 month shots?

I’m calling the doc in the morning. It wasn’t like that this morning. The little spot is where the needle went in and now there is a big red spot that hard

They say if it’s a swollen, warm to touch red area at injection site then it needs to be addressed. Calling the pediatrician is a good idea.

Same thing happened to my daughter. I read online that it is a common side effect with the 15mo and 4yo TDap. It cleared up in a week for us.

My son just got his 15 month shots last week and it did the SAME THING. The next morning it was red a swollen and warm to the touch. I called his doctor and they told him to come in and get it checked. The doctor measured it, and said if it gets any redder it gets bigger give them a call. He said it’s normal for that kind of shot. It’s been a week now and he still has a little lump when I run my finger over it. Here’s a picture of what it looked like the day after he got the shot

My son had slight redless/ puffness around his shots which is sometimes normal . Call your ped if your worried
