Labor?

I had a membrane sweep today I’ve been having some pretty bad contractions since, I’ve been waking and doing squats, will a hot shower help progress me? I’m due tomorrow

My labor and delivery class recommended hot showers. Standing/gravity helps things progress and the heat and water can keep you relaxed which also helps with progression. When I went into labor I took a hot shower and stayed in there while my husband packed up our car and got everything ready to go. 10/10 would recommend.

Shower? Probably not. If you did walking and everything and the contractions have seemingly started I would let you body do the rest. A shower won’t do anything but I may just feel good

My advice is to rest!!!! Lay down if you are in real labor you will know very soon! But after my first membrane sweep I had lots of contractions and bloody show my contractions were timable for hours and then fizzled out evenutally. I was up all night trying to keep them going and all that it did was give me a sleepless night and get my hopes up! Could be different for you but if it is labor rest is your very best friend in the early stages. Save your energy for pushing!!

After my sweep, I went for walks, had sex, and continuously bounced on an exercise ball. I was told that a lot of the time it’s also up to when baby is ready, but that staying active can help move things along. I had a sweep on a Friday morning and my water broke Sunday night. Not sure when I started having contractions because I remember noticing “cramping” and just not really thinking about it being contractions.

Nothing can really help progress but my advise is stay active...

A shower isn’t going to progress you. But it may help you relax which can aid in progression. But the shower itself will do nothing for progression
