Birth control experience/opinions?

So I’m planning on getting birth control within the next 2 weeks but I’ve heard many different things which does kind of  worry me.
So I was just wondering what birth y’all have tried or currently on? what y’all like & dislike about it?
I obviously know that y’all’s birth control will probably be different for me but I still am curious to know how it does work for others.

I’ve heard lots of bad reviews on the shot but it personally worked great for me. I did not have a period while using the shot and my only side effect was low sex drive. No pregnancy scares. It’s been difficult trying to regulate my cycle after stopping the shot though.

Yaz gave me bad nausea but otherwise it was okay. I’m using Nuvaring(Vaginal Ring) now and I really like it. It’s super easy and I usually have really bad periods but not with this. The only downside is it doesn’t provide enough estrogen for me which causes acne & dryness. I’ll be getting estrogen therapy to help tho. I have trouble remembering pills so the ring is great for that

i’ve been on the pill for about 7 years now and been on MANY pills. the last pill i was on was kurvelo and it worked wonders for about 4 years but lately stopped working and i was experiencing periods like before i was on birth control, i just got switched to a generic of yaz today but i’m weary about the side effects and risks of yaz although i believe its been reformulated since they’ve had many lawsuits from deaths associated with blood clots, although with any birth control there is a greater risk of blood clots. i’d sit down with a doctor and tell them what you want out of your birth control, what you definitely don’t want, any concerns you may have and discuss your options
