I know this is cultural, but how do you greet and say goodbye to your parents and/or grandparents?

One of my friends kisses her mom on the lips to say hi. My family doesn’t do anything like that- maybe a cheek kiss to Grandma. You?

We kiss on the cheek and hug my parents and grandma. My dad and I have a special kiss on the cheek where he puffs up his cheek with air and I “burst” it with my kiss 😂 not sure if that description makes sense? It started when I was a toddler as a way to make me laugh but I’m 30 years old and we still do it 🙈

My family members are mouth kissers 😖 to everyone they’re close with, not just family. I hate it. I always deflect to the cheek.

In the hispanic culture at least in my family you make ur rounds of hugs and cheek kisses to everyone in the house as well as when u leave.

In South Asian culture you bow and touch the feet of your elders (regardless of your relationship with them) to greet them. In turn the elder blessed the younger person. In general saying good bye is just bowing/nodding their head with their hands in a praying position and wishing them a safe travel

Kiss on the lips. That's how we greet most of our family (aunts, uncles, cousins, etc). The only ones who don't do this in my family are my cousins, aunt and uncle who spent a few years in England. He'll we even greet friends and that this way if you're close enough.

i greet my grandparents saying, "bendicion mamá, bendicion papà" its spanish for blessings grandma & blessings grandpa. im from a dominican household so this goes to my whole generation too we greet our grandparents the same & we say goodbye that way too
