Covid Family Testing
I’m trying to think of solutions for my mom to be around our newborn. My mom works at a day care, and lives with my dad who is still working, plus my two brothers live with them who work at a grocery store. They also still go out to eat, grocery shop, ect. I have been quarantining at home all month and I’m due in the first week of September. My mom was planning on coming to live with me for a week to help me once she’s born. I am worried about ANYONE being around the baby since everyone is still working and am wondering if in NJ there is a way for her to get rapid testing done or some other solution so I can be sure it’s safe to have her around my baby.
I would say I would just refuse the help but my husband works 4 am-8pm each day and is allowed no time off when my daughter arrives besides the two days we will spend in the hospital. I know I will need some help. Also because we don’t truly know what day the baby will come it’s hard to ask her to take off time from her job because obviously she needs to work too.. she’s planning on stopping work the day I go into labor (which to me gives me no notice on whether she could be a symptomatic and have it or not) Been stressing about this for months now. Such crazy times..
