How long until you took LO out??

Question

{BEFORE and AFTER COVID} how long did you wait before taking your LO out of the house?? 
Going over to family members houses versus going to a store? 
I'm just curious to see what others do/did 😋

My baby was born right at the start of the pandemic and is almost five months. Due to COVID, we have never taken him anywhere, other than to doctor’s appointments, for walks around the neighborhood, and for the occasional outdoor socially distanced visit with friends or family members. Even his own grandparents have not been allowed to hold him. 😢

With our oldest, she was out in public the day she came home from the hospital. We never kept her home or anything like that. Our youngest is 2 months old and has never been in a public place aside for the doctors office and isn’t around family or anyone either. I take COVID and our family’s health and safety very seriously.

I had my little one in September last year, so I fall into the before Covid group. We had to take him out the day he was born! He was born at midnight, we were discharged at 8am and had to go to our local hospital for his newborn checks at 12:30pm! We also went for a walk to an outside event in our village that evening. The day after he was born I took him to the supermarket! He was 12 days early so I wasn’t prepared and had zero food in the house🙄 I don’t trust my partner to do the food shopping (god knows what he’d come home with!), he’s definitely the practical go to work earner rather than housewife! And he was too nervous to look after a day old newborn by himself which I totally respected, he’s not been around many babies before. I’m not the type to sit around, I was glad to just get on with things😂

Before- with my first- we went out right away. With this baby I’ll probably wait and go out only when necessary.

We were out visiting family after her one week check up. As far as the store I had meal prepped before she was born so I had like two months of dinners stored in the freezer and we were stocked up on groceries, and anything we needed my husband would go if necessary just because we live pretty far from any stores so I didn’t make many trips to there. We had visitors waiting at our house the day we returned from the hospital, so she’s always been around people. That was pre covid.
