Had abortion?

Hi everyone. I'm Alyssa, and I had an abortion when I was sixteen. I would like to hear other women's abortion experiance. I DONT CARE ABOUT POLITICS I just want to know what it was like for other women who've had abortions. Do you regret it or are you happy you did it? How did you cope? I'm specifically asking other women who have been through it.

Heather, she specifically asked for people's stories and how they coped etc.. I don't agree with abortion either but you need to stop going around telling all these women that they made a wrong decision. It obviously was a hard decision and they're dealing with it. Stop putting people down.

I had an abortion at age 15. I do not regret my decision. I am in a much healthier relationship now (age 30) and am ready to bring a child into the world that I know I can take care of.  I also know that my partner will also be able to handle the responsibility and show it love.

Well I had one once. Was in a very abusive situation and had I not I feel I wouldn't be alive today. I don't regret anything what's meant to be will be.  Know others who have as well. And they also do not regret it

I've had two, one at 14 and one at 18. The first time was a result of rape and I didn't tell anyone until I found I was pregnant. I doubt I would have told anyone had I not become pregnant. My parents didn't believe me and they just wanted the problem "fixed" asap. The other at 18 I had because I wasn't ready and I was in am abusive relationship. I couldn't bring a child into that. I don't regret either decision.

I was 18. My ex BF was abusive both physically and mentally. He lied and told me he was sterile, I believed him and 6 months later found out I was pregnant. We were living in a single room tack house under a barn on his moms property. I was states away from any of my friends or family. A week after the abortion he beat me into the hospital and was arrested. 
I don't regret it. To be forever connected to that man would have been hell. If he could hurt me the way he did, Goodness know what he would have done to our child. It was terribly difficult at the time. I didn't have the emotional support I needed to get over my abuse and the abortion at the same time. It took me a lot longer than it should have to come to terms with everything that happend.I am now in a happy healthy relationship with my fiancé of 5 years. Planning on getting married and TTC next year. Life is so much better than I thought it would be 9 years ago.

Yes. I had one 2 months ago. I actually had no choice but I still regret it. I was advised to by my gynecologist as I'd only just had a large amount of my cervix removed due to cervical cancer and my cervix was too weak to maintain a pregnancy. I hadn't even been given the all clear that they'd been able to remove it all (they hadn't so I have to go in for further treatment). I wish I'd been able to keep my baby but doing so would've put my life in danger and I wouldn't have been able to look after the kids I already have, one of which was only 9 months at the time.

Had one at 23 as soon as I found out I was pregnant.  Was still in university and only been with my guy for less than one year.  He was supportive but left the decision up to me.  We are now married, 13 years later and TTC (just miscarried actually).  It was the right thing to do for me & us.  Neither were ready and neither regret the decision.  For me, I dealt with it very well and have not felt sad like other women.  I am of the opinion that bringing a child into this world only to give it up is unfair to the child.  No one should grow up feeling rejected or unloved and have their well being and hopes of a promising future left up to a flawed system and the promise of getting lucky with suitable adoptive parents.
