So my parents went down to the beach for the weekend. My brother is 23, and I’m 21. I work night shifts, so as soon as I get home tomorrow morning at 5, I have to take my brother to work, and then pick him up when he’s off. He has his drivers license, but for some reason my parents WILL NOT allow him to drive. They purposefully took the only other automatic this weekend so he can’t. Neither of us know how to drive stick. Why are they giving me that burden instead of letting him drive? It wastes my gas. My boyfriend is also down for the weekend after not being able to see him for 2 weeks (navy), and I just want to spend time with him, along with SLEEP because I work NIGHTS. This is so frustrating. Not to mention I have a very long work week ahead of me, and I don’t like leaving the house when I work nights. I just like to stay home and relax so I can get as much rest as I can throughout the day. God I can’t wait to move out in a few months so I can switch to a day job and just... be with my boyfriend 😪

I bought my own car when I was moved out. My parents won’t allow my brother to buy his own car 🤷‍♀️ It’s called strict and controlling people.
