Kissing babies on the mouth/lips

So I’ve been thinking about this awhile. In my family we don’t really kiss babies on the mouth it’s just not our thing. Withy babies I kiss their cheeks and noses and forehead and will kiss their pacifier but I don’t kiss them on the mouth because my mouth encounters a lot more things such as cups and silverware and kissing my partner whereas my babies only encounter my nipple, a pacifier and a bottle nipple and their own fingers.

I was wondering what other people’s views are of this and how they feel about kissing babies on the lips.

I will say I recently saw a show and a son and mom kissed on the lips and the son was almost 30 and I found that to be a bit odd but chalked it up to different cultures because the show was placed in Australia
