Having trouble waking up in the middle of the night to pump

Eslyn

I was told by a lactation nurse not to sleep through the night and to make sure I don’t go more than 6 hours without pumping. But I’ve been having the hardest time waking up when I’m supposed to pump.

I’m a brand new mom with an almost 2 week old, but she was born 10 weeks early so she’s in the NICU and will be for at least another month. So it will be a while until I can actually breastfeed.

I’m so worried about by supply depleting. I pump on average 6x/day and been averaging at least 70-80mls each time. When I pump after going 5 or 6 hours without, I can get at least 120mls out.
