My boss came into direct contact with someone who tested positive for Covid-19. I’m really supposed to not know but I do (they are very closely related). The person who tested positive came into our workplace on a Friday to have lunch with my boss and they had lunch in the break room. I get a call Monday from the store manager, my boss came into direct contact...blah blah and he had to send him home for 2 weeks. My boss took the test late Tuesday. So here I am working 2 peoples jobs stressing out and waiting for the results that didn’t come in Friday like I was hoping. On top of this my sons 2nd birthday is today and to have to work to cover my boss (I normally have sun/ mon off). I’m getting so much anxiety because what happens if he rests positive? Do they have to close the work place for cleaning? Apparently they can’t make you take the test. I’m so fricken pissed the person who tested positive took the test and then went galavanting around the town before they knew for sure and had lunch in our break room, which thankfully I never use. Oh and another thing our company is going through an acquisition and the interview for reapplying is Wednesday. Ugh I can’t freaking wait to hear the result...I just can’t take the waiting anymore! Not to mention my sons birthday was ruined and now our county is the epicenter of Washington for covid. I kinda knew it’d hit us later. People are thinking oh it won’t happen here all the way out in the middle of nowhere 🤦🏻‍♀️

-He is negative thank goodness! He still can’t come into work until Monday, if he still isn’t showing symptoms. My work is an essential business, it’s only me and him in “charge” of our department, not really anything anyone can just jump into without knowing. Tomorrow is interviews with the new company that is buying us out, so a bit nervous and stressed from the workload. My boss will probably have to do a phone interview (lucky lol). Thursday I have to take off for my daughters evaluation (2hrs away) that we have been waiting a very long time for and I’m not canceling. Our store manager will just have to deal with me being gone, I’m sure I’ll come back to a mess 🙄 I am just happy he is negative!
