What pain relief did you use with your first vaginal labour?

Had morphine with my 1st it was ineffective at best, tried gas and air with my 1st as well, didn’t work the best so i just had an epidural. Used gas and air with my 2nd it worked so well that if i didnt have a medical condition i would have gone without the epidural i felt i had to get. I will probably do the same thing when i go into labour this time

3 births and never had any type of pain relief in regards to an epidural, gas, etc.  I did sit in the warm shower on a ball for 2 of my 3 births and it helped tremendously.  I would love to try a bath, but my hospital doesn't offer tubs in the rooms.

I used morphine for my first and I vomited the whole time and it felt like it did nothing also went in the bath and that was amazing and a heat pack on my back because it was back labour. My second I used gas and air and that was great it took the edge off and third nothing only 1 1/2 hours and very intense I think this time I’ll try gas and air again of I have time :)

I got an epidural but it failed so they gave me like 3 doses of Stadol

I get my epidural right when they announce I’m 6-6.5cm dilated (usually when I arrive) and then I get adjusted into the bed and I go to sleep until I need to push and then when I’m done I eat.
