Can your baby stand independently without support?

Starting to feel like I’m the only mama whose baby can’t stand on their own. 😔

Yes but only for a few seconds at a time. Minute tops. There’s such a range of when this happens for the littles don’t stress it.

My daughter has been walking for months

Could he do it? Probably. Will he do it? No 😂 he will hold onto things and climb on top of everything and does so well, so I know he can balance. I just don’t think he wants to.

This baby started walking at 11 months exactly, but had only started standing independently 2 weeks before. So it's very recent and sudden. Some babies dont stand and walk until 15 months and make up the long range of development, but are perfectly normal.

Shes done it a few times for a few mins and is getting better everyday and has taken a couple of steps but not worried at all since she was born with hip dysplasia so I'm very proud shes doing as great as she is

Nope she doesn’t. She had/has some medical issues with her hips but she stands just fine but has no balance. The orthopedic said she’ll figure it out eventually and has nothing to do with a delay.

Nope, mine doesn’t! I‘ve seen him do it a few times for a couple seconds if he has to let go of his piece of furniture for whatever reason. So I think he could but he doesn’t seem interested. He’s happy with cruising for now!

Yes but not for more than a minute or so. Don’t stress, they hit milestones at different times! My baby took until about 7/8 months to sit up well but has hit his other milestones early/on time. It’s ok if it takes them a little longer with some milestones.
I think a lot of times it has to do with their own interests and motivation too. My baby just didn’t care about sitting up and wanted to work on crawling. Your baby is probably busy working on other stuff and isn’t interested in standing right now.
