I’m two weeks postpartum. Has anyone else had glue over the top of their incision before? My Dr. stitched from the inside and then placed glue over the outside. Did you have yours removed or did you just let it wear off on its own?

I left mine alone until the 2 weeks pp appointment when my OB said the incision looked good and I could remove the glue. She recommended using oil to gently rub it off so that’s what I did.

It comes off over time. I ended up also pulling it off as it started to fall off.

I am dealing with this right now. Overall you’re just supposed to leave it.!I am 4 weeks post partum and the glue is still there, but what is driving me CRAZY is the dried blood underneath- I always feel dirty no matter how much I shower! My dr said not to pull it but you can  cut  little pieces off if they start to want to come off and are hanging. Also, my dr said baby oil or vegetable oil can help remove it, or I’ve also heard of coconut oil. The key is to make sure your incision is closed first so before you do anything  you need to check with your Dr! You are still healing!

5 days after my c-section. They had to cut it vertically because of swelling that I had. 🥺😭 
I have the stitches that fall out on their own. Never heard of glue being used

I had a c section just over 2 weeks ago. I have dissolving stitches for both inside and outside. Unfortunately i still can’t see my incision area. 
How do you keep the area dry?

I work in the OR. We use glue frequently for all sizes of incisions. It helps keep the skin approximated for better healing. 
I’d leave the glue alone unless your doctor specifically said you can start peeling off the flaking bits. It’s there for a good reason. 💁🏼‍♀️

I pulled mine off at 3 weeks but it was pretty easy and the only reason it hurt was because it pulled hairs out
