Reduction in discharge

Throughout my pregnancy I have had a lot of discharge right up until this week - I am nearly 37 weeks pregnant. I had so much discharge on one day which makes me think it was my mucus plug. Since then, I’ve had very little discharge. Could this be a sign that labour is on the way?
