Stopping formula?

When did you stop formula? My baby is 9 months old and I’m not sure when I stop wean him off. His pediatrician said it’s more of a personal preference/opinion when you stop giving your baby formula and they recommend stopping from 9-12 months.

Are you also feeding breastmilk? If not, I would look for a new pediatrician if mine suggested weaning baby before 12 months, especially as young as 9 months.

Formula or breastmilk should be a baby’s main source of nutrition until a year.

I started the transfer with my first around 11 months. 
My pediatrician said around then but not to be completely weaned until a year. 
I’ve had family members that had theirs wean naturally around like 9 months. I wouldn’t be surprised if that happens with my baby bc he likes to try to get his big sisters sippy cups and drink what’s in them and eat real food over drinking his bottle.

I started transitioning to milk from formula a week before she turned one...   Would have kept it up for that week if we didn't run out of formula during a pandemic.

My ped says start whole milk transfer around 11.5m

Not until a year. I started mixing whole milk in when there was only 2 weeks til a year. Then he was completely on milk at a year plus 1 month.
