How long did it take for you and your partner to get engaged?

Did you think it was too soon or did they take too long? Did you talk about it prior to it happening?

I don't believe there's any set time it should be done. With my husband, we got engaged and married a year and a half in. My ex and I were together 9 years and I turned down his proposal 4 years in.

We started dating when I was in the 12th grade and he was in college (friends first for 4 years). I wanted to be finished with school before we got engaged so, dating 2009, engaged 2012, married 2013 🥰 
it’s our 7/11 anniversary this year, married 7 years together for 11 ♥️

I proposed after 9 months. We did talk about marriage before hand. We were married at 13 months.

He asked after 2 years together but to be honest it was a crappy proposal.. I said no.. he asked me the following year on my birthday.. just us in bed.. I loved it.. said yes.

10 years. But we never planned to get married. Circumstances changed and then it made the most sense for our family. I also would really call it an engagement. It was 2 weeks between making the decision and getting married.

We dated for a year then lives together for a year and then were engaged for a year and honestly I wouldn’t do it any other way we knew everything about each other and our weird habits and quirks before we got married and it’s made our marriage a lot easier

My husband & I knew each other for a week before we made it an official relationship. Then, he asked me to marry him when we were together for a few weeks. 4 days shy of being together for 2 months we got married. Soon it will be our one year wedding anniversary. 🙂

9 years to get engaged then married 3 months later in a private ceremony with Just parents. We also got together at 18 and 21 so we didn’t feel the need to rush anything.
