BF rash? VVVVVTMI Pic

Okay, I'm ebf, I keep my nips clean and dry them off thoroughly, and use a good nipple cream (have since day one). Why have I all of a sudden got this rash all around my nipple? It's extremely dry and itchy. I change nursing pads verrrry often as well. Please help!

Maybe try washable nursing pads? I really prefer the for comfort. Coconut oil is great for skin, it's all I use on my nips after trying lanisoh and earth mothers.

It could be thrush (yeast infection; check your baby's mouth for signs of oral thrush, like white spots that don't wipe away), cellulitis (which I've had alongside internal mastitis), or an allergic reaction (possibly to nipple cream or your nursing pads). Infections require medication. I would suggest trying a different cream or nursing pads (change 1 factor at a time), and definitely see a lactation consultant nurse, your ob/gyn or general practitioner to rule out or treat infection.

Earth mama angel baby bottom balm is great for thrush on your breasts. I'm not sure if that's what's going on here. But it works! I would definitely try getting to the dr soon. Maybe a blocked duct, or mastitis?

It could be the start of thrush or a yeast infection. Is babies mouth white? If it is then it is most likely thrush and you both will need to be treated
