Gift giving

So I know what my boyfriend is getting me for Christmas, but not for my birthday(the day after). Its a gorgeous promise ring, then I realized that I didn't know what to get him. I started looking through fanatics.com and found this kinda cool thing?¿ he takes welding classes and loves the patriots so I thought it might be cool but idk...what do u guys think. Is it childish?
