Newborns and 5-6 am work?

Any early risers (especially those in the medical field or in medical school) have any ideas on how to handle a newborn when daycare doesn't even open until 6 or 7 am? I realized as I was scrambling out the door at 530 that it could be a challenge.

I found a daycare that takes my girls early... they are hard to find but they are out there. My friends daycare doesn't take kids early so her mil takes her son and then drops him off at daycare

Agree with Katy, and it's very part time so you're not paying too much out of pocket

You could always hire a morning nanny who will get the baby ready and drop off at the daycare when it opens. That way you're less stressed and have more time in the mornings.

i have two toddlers ages 2 and 3 both are early risers every am Thay are up at the crack if dawn an that starts at 5:45 am every day ! and Thay go to bed at 7:30 pm evey night with one nap a day

You could ask your SO to drop off the newborn before he goes to work!

It's been an ongoing challenge for me as a nurse working 12 hour shifts and not having any consistency. Family have been a huge help though.
