my mom is super strict about sex but i am having it rn. I would like to go on birth control but not just for sex but for my acne and my period. I’m sooo scared to ask because I KNOW she is going to assume i’m having sex. What do i do? I do not wanna get in trouble. i am 17 btw.

Just say , mom I wanted to ask you something..... so when I’m on my period I get bad acne and I have a heavy flow and I heard that birth control can help that, it’s rly bad so if I could get birth control that would be great. If she assumes you’re having sex or says something about it just say , it’s not for that mom or tell her you’re saving yourself for marriage or something around those lines. You got this girl 🙃

Go to your local health department or family planning center! You can get it from there at little to no cost depending on income! A bunch of my friends used to get birth control from there in high school. And they always give out free condoms, too!
